The message builds and reinforces itself with no counter. That’s only going to get worse because with the internet age critical thinking is actively opposed.

As a matter of fact, Dr. Marty, the MD/MPH who heads the FDA, told an anecdote about this at the presser. The OBGYN recommended that his pregnant wife take a little tylenol for a low grade fever. She said she didn’t want to. The doctor asked him his opinion and he said absolutely not.
Women without support like that would have taken the tylenol and not thought anything of it.
