It's about who is going to get more easily confirmed.

Barrett has been my preference since Kav (I wanted Trump to select her then).

With due respect to Indiana, FL politicians are more powerful; and they will be able to throw their weight around to push her thru. Further, Lagoa has Bush connections - and is additionally less of a lightning rod for crazy arse leftists. I've always believed that's what ultimately made McConnell give the nod to Kav.

I think Barrett would be a better justice - intellectually and I agree with her philosophy. I just worry that McConnell won't go to bat for her which practically speaking could complicate matters.
