Rush got smarter over time. I’ve wondered if he were still alive, and asked who he should have supported in the 1992 election, if his answer would still be “GHW Bush”.
I think, watching him jump on Trump early in 2016, he would answer “in retrospect, Perot”. He grew to recognize what a schitt show the modern R Party has become.
