Reparations is an awful idea. Make the weak, weaker. Sure it will help the feelings

of the self hating whites among us. And might even supplement welfare for some struggling older black folk. Even get some democrats elected. But here is the truth. It would be a mere continuation of the Johnson welfare program that has made a permanent underclass of many black people in this country. The Scot and Irish people came here as an indentured and slavery class for some and the free ones had nothing. No education, no skills, no structure, nothing. But they slowly matured with some horrible setbacks such as being cannon fodder in the civil war and then 2nd class citizenship, particularly in the reconstruction south. But by damn they struggled on and have, for the most part, matured. and made it.
And black people were on the way forward as well. The years after the civil war divorce and family seperation was almost unheard of in the freed black communities. Unemployment was as low as whites. Where they basically stayed even for years and years. Then the Johnson Democrat scheme to enslave many of them to a one party system kicked in and it destroyed families, structure and made criminals of many, many of them. And set blacks and America back. And reparations would be a mere extension of the enslavement to handouts. The fall out of which would be a disaster for the country and her citizens. Leading to more 2nd class citizenship. And probably really hurt some black men relatively. Be under no illusions what a huge cash influx would be used to finance among many receivers. And where's the money coming from? Currently funded programs such as SS and or VA health benefits would be my guess. We need to give a hand up then stand back and let people mature into all they can be. They always have left to their own devices.

It would be IMPOSSIBLE to administer fairly.
EVERYBODY alive today has 32 or 64 direct ancestors from the antebellum era.
You know how the issue of partial ancestry would be solved?
Someone who agrees with Elizabeth Warren 95% of the time would make those rulings.

I makes my blood boil that we’re even talking about reparations.
