Who was lied to about the law or mechanisms of payment?

Well, for one thing, the law's title is a lie:

Affordable Care Act.

Yeah, right. Affordable, my arse.

I remember Hussein selling it in the '08 debates as a way to solve our economic woes. LOL.

Premiums increased at the lowest rate in decades after its passage. I'd call that pretty affordable!

Also, it gave access to insurance for 20M+ Americans who previously couldn't afford it. So win there, too!

Obamacare is brilliant. Why anyone would want to repeal it is beyond me.

The middle class should pay higher premiums and higher deductibles. They voted for Trump.

Dems lied to america. Obama said if you like your plan you could keep it. A lie.

Obama said you could keep your dr. A lie.

Dems tax every American with our healthcare. They forgot to mention that. That's why we have preside trump!

The ACA needs some tweaks, for sure.

It doesn't need to be nuked from orbit, and thus deprive 20M individuals from access to health care.

I doubt that. You see, you are referring to fake news again. Maybe for the end-user, premiums flattened, but what about for the taxpayer who is subsidizing the rest?

Aren't Dems bleating for more ACA premium subsidy money? Why would that be so if premiums were falling?

I would much rather pay taxes to help the weakest and poorest among us do a little better than to pay Exxon for executive bonuses or Raytheon for another $5M missile.

It's more that it wasn't okay to him only because it was Democrats doing the taxing.

From NPR (of all places):
quote:

The cost of health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is expected to rise an average of 22 percent in 2017, according to information released by the Obama administration Monday afternoon.

Still, federal subsidies will also rise, meaning that few people are likely to have to pay the full cost after the rate increases to get insurance coverage.

Everyone loses except deadbeat Dems.

Good for you. I'd prefer neither.

We're going to have taxes. Let's use them wisely, instead of to enrich the oligarchs.

Exactly. Without the genius of Obamacare, these people would have no access to health care at all. It would be like the Bush years all over again.

If it forces a few in the middle class to pay more in premiums than their mortgage....it's worth it. They voted for Trump so they deserve it.

Sure. I'm a reasonable person. Taxes that aren't redistributed to others are mostly OK.

I'm fine with that. I'd just ask that we include not using them to promote lifelong dependency in large parts of the population.

Meanwhile, the ACA is heavily subsidizing (you guessed it) the big insurance companies that BamaAtl considers evil.
