I don’t get the hate about a parade in front of POTUS on Vets Day. How many times has this been done and when would it be done again?
Enjoy the experience if you’re in it because it may not happen again in your career.
And it sure as hell beats another round in the desert away from family during any holiday.

The good news is if you’re in the Army or Air Force you we’re going to be in uniform even if there wasn’t a parade. Now you just have to show up and get in formation.

Like I said earlier, I didn't start this thread but I'm assuming the OP started it because he was soliciting opinions. I'm not at all convinced that having a different opinion than the POTUS equals hate. Especially on a matter as trivial as a parade.

Well, if I can reach that far back and remember what it’s like to be an E-2 nothing I’d be pissed to if my four day pass of beer drinking and debauchery got fragged too.
I think it’ll still be an interesting experience.
