Clearly you are not an oncologist if you rarely see leukemia patients. Following this logic of a VERY suspicious association between vaccine and AML, wouldn’t you think your heme-onc colleagues would be seeing quite the uptick? Wouldn’t the global incidence be dramatically higher given what you are seeing in your small practice wherever you are?

It's not bad reasoning. Making a hard and fast conclusion is bad reasoning although given the circumstances it is at least defensible. Dismissing it out of hand is bad reasoning. Your opinion has lower odds than his of being correct. Seeing 60% of your total cases (3 out of 5) in 0.2% of your total practice time (1 two-week period out of 572 two-week periods) should raise suspicions in any thinking person. Weird things happen - I remember seeing a patient with a condition I hadn't seen since school and didn't expect to see again, then saw another one the next day - but if you understand statistics, you know that statistics don't provide concrete certainties, only probabilities and confidence, and statistically speaking, the odds are MUCH higher in his favor.
