Good, I’d hate to let my immune system fight off a mild flu or cold

At some point, all meds can’t be bad.

Anybody saying mild flu has never had a not mild flu. Why exactly would you sit around and see how crappy you are gonna get before deciding to take meds?

I’ll trust my doc on this one. Vaccine is a different animal.

This is an absurd amount of money for something that has very minor impact.

There's zero reason the government should be subsidizing Paxlovid.

They aren’t subsidizing..they pay for the entire thing. My pharmacy can then bill insurance for the cost of distributing to me.

Do you think your doctor is operating on good, comprehensive information? Or is his employer encouraging it?

Lucky to have a doc I trust. Sorry if others don’t. Dude has guided family through multiple near death experiences. At some point, you have to be willing to trust somebody or life is just miserable. I’ll take the guy that went to med school and family friend over folks that believe almost everything is conspiracy. Y’all can sit around around and suffer and depend on hope if you want to. I’d like to stick around a while.

The same doc that advised you to wear a mask and not take proven safe drugs in favor of an unknown?

Why is the govt involved in this, just like they were with the mRNA injections? Doesn't that make you at least question?

Nice philosophy. I'm a doctor. Your doctor doesn't know - he's following the cookbook.

Which option doesn't belong here:
A. Your doctor learned about Paxlovid in med school.
B. Your doctor attended a CME dinner at Ruth's Chris that Pfizer sponsored so an MD who does LOTS of dinners like this could tell you how awesome Paxlovid is.
C. Your doctor's employer (hospital, private equity firm, trophy wife) told him he should Rx it.
D. Your doctor wants to be seen as "with it" and "following the science", and that kind of doctor Rx's Paxlovid.

You are right. He just arbitrarily distributes meds to people he has known his entire life because ..reasons. God I hope I never get this cynical.

I'm not gonna go out on a limb and say you're a dumbass if you take Paxlovid, but you're on the spectrum.

That shite gives and almost certain rebound of covid.

I called it before Biden got slapped again. Big pharma playing the holy hell out of folks.

Knock yourself out vaxtards.

An ignorant man sees reality as cynicism. I don't say that as an insult, and while I am cynical when it comes to the practice of medicine and regarding politics, I feel very optimistic in my ability to avoid pitfalls. FWIW, Biden took Paxlovid before getting his "rebound".

And you think there’s a good reason that taxpayers should buy your $530 cold medicine?

You get Paxlovid if you are 65 or over (Medicare) or serious comorbidities. Aren't Medicare patients being subsidized on their drug plans?

You sound exactly like my neighbor and his wife when they were harassing me to take the vax,I never did.
They were double vaxxed, boosted and still got Covid.I got Covid also but it was a 1 day thing because I took ivermectin.
Their Dr.wouldn’t do ivermectin so it was a 5 day thing for them.

The wife has since gotten leukemia. Is it a coincidence or is it ADEI ? No way to know.
