If you had the courage, which you don't.

You get winded typing on a keyboard. Truly would not even be worth the effort.

Internet tough guy.

Thanks, I average under 6 minute miles for marathons. Takes some work.

Dodging compulsory service in a war you recognize as a massive failure is bad but not as bad a Dodging the same service in a war you cheer on from the side lines and help keep going.

Absolutely, he balanced the budget

There's a lot of information on the internet on Clinton's "balanced budget", if you are interested. The word "myth" is used a lot.

What was the lie again? WMD? Clinton speech to the JCS in 1998.

Yeah, because you contribute so much to the discussion. You bring less than SpidermanTUba and that says a lot.

Bottom line, don't hide behind your keyboard and curse at me in this forum if you won't do it to my face. And you and I both know you won't. But you can run so that is a good thing for someone like you.

And you run your mouth much to easily. I will not say anything on this board that I would not say to a persons face. I know you are not mature enough to understand that concept but it will serve you well in life.

I've been fighting this ignorance for years on here - even some "conservatives" repeat this as if it's the truth.

The best, most fair way to describe the Clinton "surplus" is to say, "near balance" - and even more fair way to describe it is, "near balance, brought about by a combination of massive cuts to the defense budgets, inflated tax receipts from the internet bubble, and a very modest welfare reform program".

But the surplus, itself, is fictional, mythical, propoganda, spin, perhaps even a lie.

This thread is atrocious. You boys need to take this outside and settle this like men.

Anyway, here's my take.

This strategy is as much about taking down Assad as much as it is taking down ISIS. My question is, who fills the power vacuum created by a fallen regime in Syria? I can only hope that these "moderate rebels" will tolerate and protect the moderate Syrian population comprised of a multitude of religious and ethnic sects -- Alawites, Druze, Christians, Turkmens, etc. And, what happens vis a vis the Sunni/Shia rivalry?

Assad is a bastard, but his regime is relatively secular for that region. Will these well-armed "moderates" bring jihad to the whole of Syria? If so, do we then have to defend the rest of Syria from the creation of a new Islamic state? To me, that's practically an inevitability with the current strategy.

I'd appreciate comments from anyone with some legit insight.

Wolf, you're above this kid. Let him run his mouth. You read the story about that retard judge? As a SNCO I feel it's my responsibility to remind you to leave these trivial matters to guys like me.

TT9, get the frick over it a-hole. Everyone admits that Iraq was a misadventure, or that we at least could have handled the post invasion much better. Let it go. How old are you anyway? You don't seem like you were even old enough to comprehend what was going on in 03.
