The total number isn't the problem with Pelosi's bad faith offers. It's where the funds are allocated. Trump wants the bill to be only for COVID relief. Pelosi is trying to provide pre-COVID relief to mismanaged D cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, and when you do that, this 1.8 trillion (or whatever amount) package for COVID relief becomes a fraction of that. Pelosi knows this but only wants to talk about the other things in "her bill" to pull on sympathy strings of ignorant voters. Same shite happened when she was demanding military bases being renamed as part of the first stimulus package, as if that has frick all to do with COVID relief. But, when a prog like Wolf Blitzer is calling you out on your bullshite and you are calling him, of all people, a Republican apologist, you probably are at the end of your rope. He said it perfectly, "are you really going to deny Americans the relief they desperately need right now because you don't want Trump to be able to take credit for a relief package bill?" Yes, Wolf, that is exactly what she's doing.

You want a serious answer? They don't watch fox news, OAN, etc or follow any conservatives on social media so the only side of stories they ever hear is a very politically slanted liberal narrative that paints Trump and Republicans as the monsters in any situation. It's not that people can't see through their bullshite. It's that they are completely unaware they're being fed lies by the news they rely on. What Wolf Blitzer did to Pelosi a few days ago was the first time in God knows how long I've seen a Democrat actually be really challenged by the MSM, whether that be print media, radio, social media, or the television news cycle.

The media is so dominated by liberals, that too many Americans have no idea how much the stories have been spun and how much news flat out isn't being reported at all if it makes that side look bad.

I agree $1.8 is way too high but I’m just saying I don’t think any number will sway Pelosi to agree because she doesn’t want to give Trump any kind of victory before the election. I’d just like to see her have to shoot down her own proposal and then try to explain it to the people.
