Because everyone knows the was a CIA asset and supplied them with blackmail tapes. That’s why he was so arrogant. Basically this was Barry Seal all over but with a pedofile pos, and the hit was in Jail.
I think that was part of the deal that got him such a light sentence in the first charges.
