F.U. You were a gleam in your mother's eye when I was protecting both you and your (welfare mom...maybe) from the ills you probably support today! If you really feel that way, all I can say is you are beyond help.

Bless your soul.

I think its funny how all you clowns think I am a liberal

I UNDERSTAND THE FACT YOU SENIORS HAVE PAID INTO SOCIAL SECURITY.

Yet you all are attacking me as if I want to take it away from you

I fully support this:

quote:

What I would do is give people a percentage of what they put into social security upon reaching retirement age.

Anyone 55 or older gets 100% social security benefits upon retirement age

And from there is a sliding scale, the younger you are the less percentage of full benefits you get. But in exchange you get to do what you want with the 6% social security tax.

Yet, for some reason, that is HORRIBLE to you guys. For some reason, and supporting that makes me a liberal with a welfare mom.

Give me all my fricking money back and we will call it even and I will never say a God damned word about it one way or the other.

Republicans HAVE in the past spoken about reforming it and have been met with "Throw grandma off a cliff" commercials. Who runs THOSE commercials do you think?

You know what I am going to do,just for you? I am going to do all I can to drain that shite as soon as I can start drawing it. I had no say in the amount of money taken from me for it.

You had an inflammatory opinion and got responses in kind. Now you're whining about it. Seems you're the clown here.

You wanted to go there

LINK

From the Census link.
Female-householder families: At 50 percent, people in female-householder families had the highest rates of participation in major means-tested programs.
o The rates for people in married-couple families and male-householder families were 14.7
percent and 29.5 percent, respectively

That means that single mothers are a huge burden on our Medicaid/Medicare system. I see it every day as I am in healthcare.

Again from the Census link

The black population: At 41.6 percent, blacks were more likely to participate in government assistance programs in an average month.
o The black participation rate was followed by Hispanics at 36.4 percent, Asians or Pacific
Islanders at 17.8 percent, and non-Hispanic whites at 13.2 percent.

We have free healthcare in this country, it is called the ER and these people use it every day for minor irritations and discomforts that could be addressed at a clinic.

I don't mind old people needing assistance, I don't want to pay for 20 year old able bodies looking for their gibs me dat.

To add, that was a first page Duck Duck go search, maybe 4 items down. Plenty of evidence who is really bringing this system down and notice illegals are not even included.

I am 62, just retired, so yes, I put in for SS benefits. Damn right I am entitled to that money! I have worked since being a paperboy in 1970. All those years of working with social security being taken out of my check. It was never intended for the Democraps to start pulling money out of it to give free benefits to those that in a lot of cases, never worked a day in their lives! How would you feel after working for 40+ years?? That's why older people have an issue with SS entitlement- it is basically their money and they earned it!

Are the biggest supporters of government handout programs

These people get extremely angry and attack anyone who says we need to reign in spending on Social Security/Medicare and reform it before it goes broke. Anyone who proposes any idea to reform these, no matter how common sense it is, gets attacked by these senior citizen "conservatives" like a pack of hyenas fighting over a dead zebra carcass. Even when they are explained to that the two programs are going to go broke.

These are probably the same types of people who went to tea party rallies and held signs saying "Keep your government hands off my medicare"

The only plan these people seem to endorse is to "deport all illegals" and "stop giving illegals taxpayer dollars". While I agree that needs to be done that will not even be a drop in the bucket in terms of saving social security and medicare.

It's no wonder we can't get entitlement reform. It's these "conservative" senior citizens blocking it.

You make generalized statements about what you perceive to be true without actually researching what is true. You seem to be nothing but a troll!

Most people tend to assume that when you talk about reforming a program, you're going to immediately decrease or eliminate the current payouts.

In fact, most changes to government programs are not retroactive and almost always include some type of "grandfather" clause.

Social Security could easily be eliminated entirely, but it would take time. This is a system that has been in place for over 80 years. It's reasonable that it would take at least half that amount of time to turn it around.
