Just for the information of whomever, this was brought up by. Several Kings and Queens fought against the slave trade in Africa, some like the Nigerians did sell others for profit or to protect their own from war and capture.

Here you go some names:
King Ansah of Ghana
King Nzenga Maremba
King Agadja
King of Almammy of Senegal
Queen Nzingha of Angola

It is nothing new that Nigerians and other tribes in Africa bought and sold slaves. It's a fact of African History long before the European slave trade. The difference is the type of slavery was different. While other forms did exist most African nations ran on Domestic Service where slaves still retain rights and freedoms. Chattel slavery is what was had here and considered the most inhumane. To be considered the property of another person with no free will or rights.

Stop trying to deflect blame and learn something. American and British slavery was brutal and it bred racism and will forever be the root for the division between blacks and whites in America, not because it existed but because it perpetuated the lie that whites were above blacks in every possible way, and because that happened, that mentality still exists. It will forever exist in some form or fashion among some amount of whites and inferiority and, or distrust will exist among some amount of blacks towards whites. That event changed how the history of all the world and it can't be glossed over or the buck be passed, all sides were wrong. Anglo and African

I'm really curious why he asked that question with such an obvious answer, unless he wants the specific merchants involved or something.

Because people always bring up slavery and paint the whole white race with a big bush as the villains. Why dont people take the time to learn about who got rich off of slavery? And Im not talking about the plantation owner that had a few slaves. Im talking about the people that financed the boat owners and made the deals with the tribes in Africa and made the big bucks.
