Russia has been the boogeyman for so long a lot of people are incapable of seeing anything else. I grew up when the Red Menace was a real problem, so if anything you’d think I’d be worse about it than most.

But I try to see things as they are. Russia is an adversary. They don’t need to be an enemy, and could be a great counterweight to dealing with an actual enemy….China. They’re looking out for their sovereignty, which the US is clearly trying to undermine. If you can’t see that you’re just not looking.

Before you idiots get too bent out of shape, Japan was a bitter enemy not long ago. Today not so much. You might want to think about that
