Let's see. Merkel has disavowed Western Civilization in favor of Globalist Multiculturalism and Trump is defending Western Civilization. Gee that's tough.

It's all about perspective and point of view. This is why we need open and honest discussion.
From a liberal POV, Merkel is morally right for trying to help the poor immigrants leave their hellhole countries for a chance at a better life.
That's all that matters. They don't care about all the problems that come with mass immigration, it's just "the right thing to do". And anyone who is against that has no morals, is evil, racist, etc.
Where is the discussion? There isn't one. Any attempt at an honest discussion is immediately shot down as xenophobic hate speech or the ravings of a mad lunatic. But rest assured, what's morally right is always the right thing to do, stats and facts be damned.
