Again.. I lived in Mobile for 7 years and I know the area very well and Mobile does not have a traffic problem

That criteria certainly makes you an expert on current traffic patterns and capacities of local infrastructure, not considering the galactic CF that occurs if Hurricane “X” takes out a portion of the bayway.

You should see the traffic during Mardi Gras. Since Mardi Gras was invented in Mobile, they generate a lot of tourism for all the parades they have.

Eastern Shore trash voted the bridge down because they cant afford a $1.50 toll

I get that being unemployed and living in Tillman’s Corner, you don’t have to leave the house very much except to score your next round of meth, but people who work for a living and already pay taxes for infrastructure don’t want to have to pay another toll to go to work and back every day- not a toll, not a pass, not anything. We already paid it in taxes. We don’t want to be taxed, again, for it. If you can’t build it without a toll, then it doesn’t need to be built.

that's not traffic - stop trying to act like Mobile is important - it's not... and it's most defiantly not for a multi billion dollar bridge. Again.. I lived in Mobile for 7 years and I know the area very well and Mobile does not have a traffic problem
Oh yeah Mobile has a massive traffic problem; 20,000 cars per hour over carrying capacity the road is designed for at the natural bottleneck

Sure, between 7pm and 6 AM there is easing but the problem adds up to an hour during other parts of the day

but more than that The entire southernmost transportation route from Jacksonville, FL to San Diego shares this problem along with the issue of federal highways required to be 20ft above mean sea level in hurricane zones

Anytime we go through the tunnel. We always blow our car horn. It has been a tradition for decades now. Anytime we are headed East towards Florida for vacation. Which is at least once a year.

None of this neglect would have happened if Mobile wasn't stolen from Florida.

It wouldn’t be so bad if all the out of state drivers didn’t act like fricktards going into the tunnel!

Who else doesn’t empty their washer fluid tank going through a tunnel to scare the others into thinking there is a leak. And then you have the others that like to blow their horns. And lastly, I wonder how many people got in accidents in trying to hold their breath in that slow traffic.
