Except for the War Powers Resolution (1973) where Congress, for a large part, extended that to the executive.

Once again, Congress is their own worst enemy. And if it means them holding or gaining more power (and thus money) as individuals... ours.

I'm all for them taking the power back. But one has to ask after all the crisis, why is imperative where we are not actively participating in a war other than money (Congress again) anywhere.

Not Vietnam (for which it was passed). Not Panama, Grenada, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran (80's), Beruit, etc.

And it requires the executive confer with Congress. Johnson just canceled his trip to Israel and Trump just returned early from the G7 to do that consultation. So what's Massie's beef? Oh, I think I deduced it.
