Let's ALL be proud of something... RE: Police Shootings

I pray everyday for our men and women that serve in the police force. I try to go go out of my way to pick up tabs, buy cigarettes, or just shake hands and say thank you to our police men and women.

I like police, I really do. I have no idea why they would want to work a job where they get paid shite and they are in danger of getting shot for bullshite while having to worry about protocols and rules of engagement. I don't know if I should admire them or call them fools, but either way they have a tough gig.
Having said that, I also have had an incident happen at my house where the police total f-ed' up in a very bad way and got caught. Since I admire the police (and was threatened to a degree) I dropped the matter. But, let us just say some boogie woogie was going down and they left their rides in my driveway down the dirt road with the lights off and not a soul around the vehicles-squad car and unmarked white sedan. Long story. Very interesting. Fine woman.

Support does not mean blind loyalty.
They work for, and represent, us everyday. I expect them to act like professionals and uphold the standard and duties they swore to when commissioned.
Also, stop buying them cigarettes. Cops who can't physically do their job is one of the reasons they are so keen to shoot before actually policing a situation...

I agree 100%. The point I'm trying to make is for something that was out of control in 2015-16, the nation as a whole seems to have made some progress somehow.
Also, my grandfather smoked at least a pack a day and would butt frick your entire family, after work.

Wait your grandfather butt-fricked men after work?

A couple of years ago I hit a deer on the way to work.
I called 911 and two cops duly showed up in two different cars.
What I noticed about them most is they were very distant. There is an adversarial cast to things now. We have a corporate jail here. The cops in this day and time are looking for reasons to take you in. I didn't have any trouble with them that day. But I did notice they were very distant.
I recall what Coach Spurrier said maybe five years ago. Back in the 80's the cops would help you get home if you were drunk. Now they ruin your life.

Because the world is different today than it was then. There is one thing cops have on their mind more than trying not to get shot, and that's trying not to get sued. You call a drunk driver a ride and 20 minutes later he gets in his wife's car and leaves the house again killing people and the cop gets sued. If he takes his keys and tells him to walk the renaming block home and the drunk gets hit by a car, cop gets sued. Basically, if it goes any way other than strictly by the book and department policy the officer opens himself up to being sued individually and not protected by his agency.
