quote:

This is not how you engage the intellectual idiot my friend.

In this instance you simply become the antithesis to the synthesis and for the intellectually inept, you simply become the fodder for them to justify their infantile belief systems.

It is imperative that we meet them with strong dialogue (not dialog, as the idgit displacedbuckeye used), outlining their individual ignorance to logic and reason based on natural principles.

great points. thing is I already engaged with this taint licker in a civil manner. we had a conversation about the frivolous nature of FBI going after planned parenthood protesters. displacuckeye was adamant that DOJ/FBI actions were justified and the charges of 12 years behind bars is a legal remedy for the "crime".

FBI early morning raids on a father with guns drawn was not over the top according to cuckeye. like I said its beyond debate at this point. this dude discusses topics in bad faith. therefore it is justified to just tell him to lick my taint. engage in irrational matter with irrational actors is justified IMO.

Some folks knew that, regardless of how many people might die, the knee jerk reaction we took collectively to COVID was going to be a bigger problem than the disease, especially in advanced nations like the US. The reason some knew this is because we all know that there is only one thing that is certain in life and that is that people die. What people do not do is isolate themselves for extended periods, watch their small business they worked a lifetime to build fold, see their kids not getting a education and not progressing socially because they are isolated....the list is exhaustive. It was a sad day when someoen died and there were measures that could be taken to mitigate that somewhat but people die...its what we do. Its almost always sad but life goes on for those who ain't dead. Instead we shutdown, ruined lives and caused damage worse than dying for many (alcohol and drug use is hard to kick). It is tempting to blame this on one political party or the other but the fact of the matter is that they are equally responsible as are we the people for not telling them to kiss our arse...we are going to stay open, go to school and youre going to have to toss me in jail or worse to stop me.

Every proposed solution made the problem worse.

Every. Single. One.

The public health authorities did incalculable damage to our economy and to trust in medical science. Not a single suggestion was realistic, nor based in anything other than tunnel vision created by spending one’s entire life in a lab, as opposed to in real life. And those were the ones without vested financial interests in the fake cures.

The reason I think that this editorial was so significant bc it recognizes the utter hubris that resulted in the calamity. Because in the end the hubris of ppl like Dr. Fauci and their assumption that they could not be questioned- was the one of seven deadlies that harmed society the most.

It takes a strong person to recognize and publicly admit such a thing. He should be commended.
