It seems very easy to eliminate enimies in America, why doesnt it happen more?

I understand the incredible difficulties in trying to assassinate a aitting president, with his unmatched security precautions.
But I'm surprised mid level officials arent killed more often, by either extreme sides of the political spectrum.

Because the people that keep up with politics generally aren't the type to murder. The violent left is the exception, and they are among the least informed about everything.

I didnt ask for adoption, but yeah, it seems to be that easy.
Especially deranged radical liberals. With all they do, it seems the next step is to just off people they disagree with.
Point being, for the most part politicians and influential people, lead normal day to day lives with their families/friends etc.
Seems it would happen more than it does.
A Mandami in NY. If he were infringing on mob territories, 50 yrs ago he would have gone missing on a fishing trip, or whatever.
