It seems like House Oversight of executive branch functions are pretty feckless.

What kind of laws could be passed to strengthen Congressional oversight. It's seems executive branch employees just blow off congress and then congress threatens to recommend criminal prosecution by the DOJ and the DOJ simply deep sixes the complaint. Should they give themselves prosecutorial power with the signature of the president through legislation?

It does seem that that 2 branches have a lot more power than the 3rd. They are no longer equal

We’re really going to see in about 4 weeks when the shot hits the fan. Whatever side you’re on it’s going to be a shite show.

Which coincidentally is the earmark of a criminal enterprise, specifically a mafia.

Sure they are. Politicians are getting rich, so they're only going to feign anger over this.

Its what every elected official is told during the orientation.

You have one branch that no longer works... Not because of anything the other two branches have done but because we have allowed it to become a career...

It is beyond time that every single member of that branch be purged AND replaced with those that are truly interested in serving... I don't give a damn if they lean right or left - service over their own self interest fixes most of the problems...

They need to pass a law (which hopefully Trump would sign) and allow them to arrest and detain persons who fail to deliver the documents or information as requested.

Many of the people in the house and senate are power hungry assholes and I cannot fathom why they would not want to have the power to force persons to give them this information.

It would be like your boss asking for the quarterly expense reports and you reply to him:

No you cannot have that. frick off.

WTF...

Now is not the time. Can you imagine democrats? They would arrest the entire Trump Administration. I'm so sick of their tactics. It's like they do not care about this country at all.

Just wait a month and all that will change. The Dems are going to use the power of Congress, trust me on that.
