has been a nice steady flow of B52s out of Barksdale today over my house. It is usually Reserves practicing touch/go landings but last night was different.

How was it different?

That underground nuke facility isn't safe in Iran.
While that may ultimately be true, my understanding is that the newest facilities for enrichment are 100 meters below the surface. I don't think a MOAB can cause destruction at that depth. It's not a bunker buster bomb, but feel free to correct me if I'm incorrect..

That’s what they need.

Designed to penetrate 200 feet would cause a mess, but if they are 100 meters down, they need a bomb that can go another 128' to get there.

That isn't the only way they are deployed. We didn't use a B2 when we tested them.

Dumb article is dumb. It’s a novelty weapon and I’m not seeing anything about that. It requires a plane that can carry it palletized and it’s an air blast munition - no penetration.

Literally no use for it.

They can find the entrance to the tunnels and they would be buried under the ground. It would be a tomb and take them months to get out from under it. Remember you have to be able to get out of the ground as well.

I could be wrong but I thought a MOAB was also deployable by C-130.

Yes, they push them out of a C-130.
