I've been looking at used Tesla's for a work car. I drive 18 miles each way and have free charging in the parking lot at work. Plus the charging lot is at the front door, so best parking every day. I drive a Lexus IS350 now that gets decent mileage but free charging and close parking are big perks. BTW, I work at a power plant with at least 2 dozen Tesla's in the lot every day, so blue collar baws are buying them too.

ETA; My only concern is in my price range (low 20's) they are 8 years old or so. Do they supposedly have a 10 year life span on the battery?

So I guess you have a Tesla? Somehow, I doubt that. My point was, not buying this car line (which looks like crap IMO) until the liblab shenanigans settle down.
