Imagine if we were at a state of massive US oil production and counting where we could tell OPEC to stick it. We could totally denounce Iran for this and start air flighting weapons in to find the insurrection there. Give them.half what we've given Ukraine.
Would just be awesome to be completely independent of OPEC and China so we could act how we wanted without repurcussion.
That's why oil, pharma, tech, manufacturing, it's all a national security issue. We are dependent upon bad actors. We need to rid ourselves of that dependence.

That still doesn't change the fact that we don't win without their assistance. Liberty is so hard that it sometimes takes multiple countries to achieve it.
