The tweet has over 41k votes and almost 7,000 retweets. Trump is at 98% and I was surprised by how many people said they were from New York in the comments. The owner of this account seems pretty conservative and the majority of his 51k followers likely lean that way too, but it has almost 7k retweets.

Majorly, but I still wouldn’t expect it to be 98-2 Trump after 50k votes.

That’s how social media works. It’s a huge flaw. They curate content and put stuff you agree with in front of your face. Even though a conservative account is a small minority amongst twitter users, it’s followed by other conservatives and retweeted by other conservatives to their conservative followers. It is likely that the raging leftists haven’t even seen the poll. Even conservatives on twitter live in an echo chamber. It’s what Facebook and twitter and google and Instagram have all been designed to do
