ITEP should be a local deal, and tied to jobs. Too many times you see here the exemption granted is way bigger than the number of good jobs created.
Here is a suggestion. The state has to rebate the loss of property tax revenue for all ITEP projects to each jurisdiction missing out on tax revenue.

This is incorrect. LABI is definitely in favor of tax reform and points to non-income tax states like Texas, Florida, & Tennessee as examples to emulate. That said, they are strongly for ITEP decisions being made at the state level (with local input).
lol just because somebody SAYS they're for something that is popular doesn't mean they actually are.
They literally support things that make it harder to lower taxes across the board.

That seems obvious. These clowns always say it's a net positive but if you tell them to take those money from the state coffers that it supposedly benefits they will balk. No fiscal note is going to support their claims.

Louisiana communities miss out on millions each year
Those communities reap those missed taxes in multiples from increased sales tax revenue, local salaries, and supporting businesses. These exemptions are community bribes to get business to locate there. So why do we think these communities are getting cheated?
