The question is not whether there will be some inflation this year, but whether it will represent “overheating” of the economy as a whole. Most likely, it will not. The outlook for 2021 and beyond is that inflation will hover around the Fed’s target, rather than consistently falling short, as it has for the last 13 years.

Yeah, nice try. Just walk down the grocery store aisle or lumber section of Lowe's.

As prices go up the poor will no longer be able to afford enough food on the benefits they have now. The government will have to give more to the poor and print more money in the process which will cause the US dollar to decrease in value. Down the toilet bowl we go…..

I don't think that is purely inflation as the whole global shortage of materials.

just re-proced a project from pre-covid

Copper up 30%

total material for the project (Steel/PVC/Copper) up a little over 20% from last year....

buddy of mine who is a general contractor, said cost of building a 2000 sq ft house is going to cost $16,000 - $20,000 more just on the building materials alone.

and with talk of interest rates going up, this buyers market will quickly turn into a sellers market.
