The goal is to destabilize every country around Israel so that they can never develop to be strong enough to be an actual threat to Israel.

However, I meant more taking Berlin as in Patton pushing the soviets back across Eastern Europe at the end of the war. We would likely have had the Germans fighting alongside us in that endeavor

Well launching a full scale attack against the Soviet Union while engaged in an alliance with them and "allowing Patton to take Berlin" are completely different things.

And that scenario was never remotely close to happening. Eisenhower and Roosevelt were NEVER willing to ally with the Germans against the Soviets. Any decision to stem the Soviet advance into Europe and to cooperate with the Germans to this effect would have occurred far sooner than April of 1945. It would have been criminal to wait until April to start a war with the Soviets when such objectives could have been much more easily achieved by acting sooner.

In other words, the countries around Israel politically need Israel.

Truer words were never spoken. Egypt, a country that we pay very well to not start wars with Israel now, has been been at peace with the Israelis for decades but blames everything on them.

A friend of mine lived in Egypt for a year and he says they blame anything that goes wrong on Israeli agents. Bad crop harvest? Israel. Power outages? Israel. The reason Egyptians are having fewer children then they used too? Israelis irradiated everyone's belt buckles causing increased sterility. The government could not function if it didn't have Israel to serve as a scapegoat.
