Many hearts are now hardened and blinded; The persecution and "casting out"? Already here unfortunately (especially in Canada and in northern Europeans countries where they are already ironically gearing up to frame the Bible as a book of "Hate".)
When Jesus does return, He certainly will NOT be coming "in Peace" (then again He was never here on this earth for those Christmas card platitudes.)
