I hope this doesnt come across the wrong way, but I have much respect for your post. We all have imperfections and flaws, and honestly assessing that kind of thing is the best way to deal with it. PS - Trust me. We're well aware of the drama that the "Karen's" bring to the table.

Appreciate that. I’m just frustrated with my people at this point in my life. All my grandparents and parents wanted was fair and equal treatment. They went through hell on Earth to change the system. They gave opportunity on a platter to today’s folks. Some of us did take advantage (I did!), but too many took the easy way out and kept bleating the tired old tropes about racism and any other excuse to blame someone else for their lack of success. Black fatigue is absolutely true and I don’t blame other folks at all because I have it too!

I always use the example of a nearby school district: Alief ISD in West Houston. It's 96% minority, and 30% of the kids are black. The American blacks are the fatigue types, getting in trouble, not graduating, no parental accountability. The African blacks that go to the *same school* tend to get academic and athletic scholarships to flagship universities and get accounting degrees, etc. The Nigerians, Kenyans, etc. absolutely despise the American blacks for being lazy, wasting opportunities, etc.
