Then you know little of history, most of the statues etc being taken down were from Virginians. Virginia and several of the southern states initially voted no on secession until Lincoln began the build up for invasion calling for each state to supply soldiers for an invasion with no constitutional precedent. That kind of throws the old slavery angle out the window. It's a myth.
