Though imo social conservatism needs to be based in true Christian values, and is more important than fiscal. As it will drag the fiscal side along properly
In college I remember getting into a debate with friends about this, and was the only one that thought this way. My reasoning...it's harder to put the social issues back in the bottle. Anyone with some business acumen can fix the economy if allowed "king for the day" abilities.
Ie...letting gays think their "marriage" is anywhere near equal to hetero Biblical marriage is ridiculously stupid and ignorant. But taking that away now is going to be virtually impossible. Same is happening with legalization of drugs and gambling.
