What are you going to say about his track record as a justice, but he was the equivalent of a liberal wolf in conservative sheep’s clothing. A declared Republican (RINO), appointed by POTUS Gentleman Gerry Ford, he went from being initially opposed to affirmative action early in his time on the court to ultimately advocating for repeal of the second amendment in his retirement. That covers a lot of shifting ground during his time.

Longest life of a SC justice, RIP.

POTUS Gentleman Gerry Ford

Emphasis on gentleman here. Ford was someone who thought Ronald Reagan was crazy back then like GOPe folks think of Trump today. Really says a lot about where we are today.

But he was a man who did the right thing in pardoning Dick Nixon to put that humiliating watergate affair where it belongs, in America's past and no longer subject to further litigation and enabling America to look towards the future even if it meant a few disastrous years with Jimmy Carter that would also bring us the glorious 1980s with President Ronald Reagan.

It may have cost him the 1976 election but it took real courage. He even testified in front of Congress about it and that was unheard of for a U.S. President to do that.

President Ford.

He went from a conservative to wanting to repeal the 2nd amendment.

I wonder what Epstein had on him.

The worst decision by a Republican president in the history of the Court.

Brennan was worse (appointed by Ike).
