Don’t know. It’s been reported he’s interested. Of the three names mentioned that could jump into the primary fray vs Cassidy, he’d probably be my choice.
He could also keep his powder dry from this one and hope Kennedy steps aside for 2028. I know a bunch of folks love them some John Kennedy, and I would have liked to see him run for Governor instead of Vitter in that 2015 race, but the guy will be 77 years old when his current term is over. He shouldn’t run again and subject Louisiana citizens and American taxpayers to another Federal politician being well into his 80s and still in office.
