What era did you grow up in?

I'm a millennial.

I had to outperform black and female students to get into a top 10 school due to DEI.

I had to outperform those same people to get a job where my work ethic and performance could then create upward mobility to generate wealth.

I then had to watch less qualified candidates get promoted due to DEI until eventually being able to rise to executive management.

By the time I was done in corporate America I saw a situation where I had to explain to the #3 in the company why his son wasn't even eligible to apply to my business unit without a signed exemption from HR because he was a white male until a quota was met.

Thats a universal experience now for millennials and the assumed reality for Gen Z.

Gen X and Millennials watched the blue collar industrial jobs evaporate overnight while being yelled at to get a degree (with six figure student loans) only to then watch the white collar jobs evaporate due to H1B and now AI.

Those people who didn't experience the same opportunities that older Gen X or boomers had in the work force are pissed as hell and the "get a job and work harder" crap is going to lose in the marketplace of ideas to socialists unless its paired with a new realistic approach to generating opportunities like onshoring/protectionist MAGA where they see how the crony capitalist system we obviously have gives them a more realistic chance at the American dream we all wanted when we were kids.
