Early Vote/Election Day Vote

If I'm not mistaken, aren't you allowed to early vote in Louisiana, then vote again on Election day if you want to change anything on your ballot which results in the automatic cancellation of your previous early vote?
Correct?
I'm thinking I may early vote in case I got incapacitated between now and election day, and then take the kids to the poll on the big day just to give them the experience.
I don't think I'm making this up...

I don't particularly expect to change my vote, but I swear the lady I checked in to early vote with a few years ago told me that it was in fact perfectly fine to early vote, then vote again on election day and that the system was set up to throw out the early vote.

If the government knows how you vote, doesn't it make it easier to round you up and send you off to a camp when the Communist Party takes over?
