Drilling for oil per se won't cause a tornado, but heating up the planet by discharging more and more carbon gases into the atmosphere is turning natural phenomena like tornadoes, hurricanes and other severe storms into destroying behemoths. What may have been an F1 or F2 tornado in 1970 is now and EF-4 or EF-5 killer. Same thing with hurricanes: Milton in the Gulf last October went from a tropical depression to a Cat 5 monster-- 892 mb pressure -- in a period of just over 24 hours!

And now the Trump/Musk White House has gone full dithyrambic on fossil fuels, including more coal mining and talking about "clean coal technology" -- there's an oxymoron for you.
