I see that part B is 185.00 a month in 26’ What’s the cost for part D ? If I chose to not got w Advantage . TIA.
It varies by zip code. My mother will pay $120 month next year. It's worth it to her, she has prescriptions that would otherwise cost much more than that. She is 92. I am 59, so it will be a few years before I have to make these choices.
There are two other plans, one was $14 a month, the other about $75. You can usually find the costs on a provider's website, also you can find the cost of Medigap.
If you have an HSA, you can pay for Part B and Part D out of the HSA without paying taxes on that money.
The largest single concern in all of this about Medicare Advantage is that if you start out with Advantage at age 65 but later decide you want traditional Medicare, you either won't be able to get Medigap or it will be very expensive. There is a guaranteed issue window when you turn 65, but after that the insurance companies get to decide.

Plan d just went up because they removed things like the doughnut hole.. limited insulin cost etc .. it varies a lot .. I think mine is going up to 85ish… but now there is a max out of pocket of 2k..
I have both traditional Medicare gap and plan d through aarp .. you can go on their site and get lots of info and exploratory quotes.

quote:Why not get a MA PPO plan?
Regular Mcare lets you go to any doctor or hospital with no prior authorization required
That way you have the advantages of the lower costs and benefits of MA, but have more freedom in going to specialists without a PCP referral. Many PPO plans have very low cost monthly premiums.

What reasons? MA is better run than government plans and has more benefits.
This is patently false. How much did Humana pay you to post that?
