re: Did Trump win in 2020?

Are you going to say he would have lost if the pandemic had not happened. I mean they didn’t even have anything to campaign against him on
The problem with Trump supporters is that they're looking at the past through rose colored glasses, and forgetting the failures.
There was a thread the other day asking what Trump did during his term that made people hate him so much. There was not one single mention of his failure to repeal (and replace?) Obamacare - one of his signature policy objectives, along with the wall which he also didn't accomplish.
No one wants to remember how he mocked a wounded combat veteran and how that would come back to haunt his attempt to repeal Obamacare. However much you think you hated John McCain, and lord knows I disagreed with him a lot, the treatment Trump gave him was unconscionable. Normally, it would have been enough for conservatives everywhere to write him off.
People look back now and say, "Well, he kept us out of war." When in fact we were STILL AT WAR during his entire administration, and are only now not at war.
The market was doing well his first year, but dropped off significantly after his tariffs were initiated. This in spite of the fact that he bullied the fed into dropping their rate during an economic expansion for the first time in my recollection, basically begging people to spend their money. All while borrowing trillions of dollars.
Then look at the turnover in his staff and cabinet. He said he would hire only the best, but when the best got there, they turned and ran from the disaster that was the Trump White House. Look to Jim "Mad Dog" Mattis for an example. Trump supporters absolutely loved him until he ran from the disaster that was Trump. Then, typically, they eviscerated a highly decorated, and much respected combat veteran.
Trump's administration was deeply flawed without even considering covid. But none of his supporters want to admit that now. They only see the tears of liberals and think how successful everything was.
And now the Republicans are lining up behind this loser like lemmings on a cliff about to throw themselves over. I simply can't believe the Republicans are doing this to themselves at a time when the most vulnerable incumbent is in office. This should be a clean sweep, easy.

Biden’s main political strategy was...
And here's the proof, Biden didn't even need a strategy. That's how unpopular Trump is, he got beat by a fricking senile turnip that didn't even have to come out of the root cellar to win. Not only did Trump lose to Biden in2020, he will lose again in 2024, only this time it will be by such a margin that his supports won't even be able to blame cheating.
The desperation of Trump supporters blinds them to what kind of a person Trump actually is - a narcissistic, petulant, New York City, trust fund baby. If you think you're embarrassed now for voting for George Bush back in the day, just wait another 10-15 years. Trump supporters will become such a joke that no one will want to admit ever supporting him.
