I agree with this. I have never seen anyone put forth metrics to that would objectively mark the end.

Two further thoughts:
1) If all whites and "whitness" (whatever that is) were immediately and completely removed from the continent, would blacks be better off?

2) If a rocket with no one else but black astronauts were sent to Mars, they would find evidence of racism on Mars.
