The greatest generation to me should be the generation that started a worldwide revolution the likes had never been seen before. Not taking anything away from those guys tho, they are bad asses

I cannot fathom what the world - or my life - would be like absent the heroism and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation, epitomized by the events of Operation Overlord. God, I'm so grateful to have been born in this country!

I know it's been said before, and will continue to be said again and again until progressives try to wipe this from our history....
Of all combat veterans who served in any war in the history of the US, I will never have more respect and admiration than I do for the soldiers who stormed those beaches that day. I highly doubt, any of us will ever get the privilege of witnessing a generation of REAL MEN like that while we are alive.
So, to all of those who fell that day, and to those who lived long after, Mad, Mad Props to you. You will always deserve and have my respect. And that of many generations that followed you.
