Some background, all of the money "loaned" by various Chinese state banks where CCP officials skim a nice percentage off of the top then invest in Hong Kong real estate so it is tied to the US$.

IIRC,
The comminist government basically took over half of the real estate in Hong Kong and placed it under total government ownership. That meant that the remaining property saw its value sky rocket. I would imagine that they saw a healthy return on their investment.

Well what do you expect when you have absolutely no environmental regulations, no workers rights.... hell you just do what you are told or go get organ harvested.

It isn't even that, they have to steal the technology to make anything and get funded by funny money that doesn't even exist at all. Pretty much check kiting from bank to bank

I really don't want this to get out of hand but maybe it will be a wake up for the Chinese government to get on board with health and environmental regulations.
