I happened to see it on NBC nightly news on Sunday. Lester Holt proudly stated he was named an ambassador of this project. "It's an attempt to separate real news from manipulative (fake) stories".
When really it's a response to them being called out for the fake news that they and the rest of the liberal MSM is pedaling.
A link to them having a conversation with young teens about it which is absolutely terrible.
MediaWise
The about us section really exposes who they are.. scroll down past the pictures for the real crap supporting this.
Direct link to those involved
I can see something like this being taught at the high school and college level. Or, a least highly recommended.

NBC has a new ad campaign.
“Real News”
It manes me laugh.

Might as well just post it. This list is totally fair and balanced with no ulterior motives. Just awful.

This tells me that they’re aware that they’ve been identified as propagandists, and they’re attempting to pre-condition younger people to trust them.
Tell your kids what’s really going on with the MSM, and encourage them to tell their friends.

That's exactly why I wanted this to get exposed. It's one of the worst things I've seen in a while within this political climate. That's saying a lot.
It's doubling down on media indoctrination at a different level. You can bet your arse this wont be the only non-profit organization that attempts this. They are targeting the young and impressionable.
