Long dnr I’ll try and make this brief

I’m moderate. Voted for trump even though I thought he was an idiot. Best option

Have a tax on campaign donations.

Don’t limit funding .implement a tax based off of income. Tax the large donors more because they have the greater advantage as to who gets elected.

We aren’t all billionaires here at tigerdroppings. Wouldn’t you like to know your contribution is worth something.

This helps both parties and might make people think twice about donating. At the least it will make them pay.

When I talk about taxes I’m talking about the dems and reps that run America and donate millions to the cause.

Maybe I’m wrong but you get tax relief for contributing? Not sure but it should be the opposite

I’m not in favor of adding new taxes on anyone. I’d be ok with doing away with any tax deductions for campaign donations. Hell im all for cutting the frick out of taxes and doing away with all deductions. All the deductions do is give the scumbag IRS agents a job.

That is a novel (I think) and inspired idea.

All in all it would reduce the amount that would be given, and ease the tax burden of regular saps (unless the dolts just up the budget).

Of course, the Republicans want to go in the opposite direction. They want churches to be able to engage in electioneering(Johnson Amendment) and make donations to church-formed PACS function like a charitable donation, i.e., make it deductible.
