Any chance we were able to shoot some of these missiles down before impact?

I'd imagine these are short-range missiles and don't get the altitude to allow countertactics.

I would assume that we shot down most of the ones fired. But large salvos, some are going to get through no matter how good your tech is.

A Patriot 2+ missile couldn't shoot down a Scud reliably.
