Trump was the one who said he could make the deals during the campaign. I didn’t see him really politicking with the legislature any.

I will give you that Trump was naive. He bought into the claims by the GOP for 20 years that they wanted change. He gave them the impetus to do so and they screwed him over because he exposed their grift. I suppose if Coulter actually wanted change she might have put some pressure there instead of her typical song and dance, but she's not stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds her.
