Moore wasn't without his obvious faults, but he also didn't stand idly by while his opponent was the victim of an orchestrated character assassination.

He is a strict state's rights advocate. We don't have nearly enough of those in the Senate.
ETA: I didn't want him to be the R nominee in the last election, and won't vote for him in the 2020 primary. I just can't imagine ever thinking Jones was, or still is, the better choice.
