So, I take the test.. I'm positive. Unless one is having serious symptoms it doesn't really change anything. Some people could start taking some treatments but that is about it.
The vast majority of people are still going to get this over the next few years.

It matters because it gives us more data on how lethal this is.

It matters because of instead of doing a half arse quarantine, you will do a real one. Also your contacts could get quickly tested as well and do a real quarantine. Quickly isolating those folks could get us back to work and staying there quicker.
