A deputy just shot and killed the father of the MS Commissioner of Agriculture

Weird story breaking in Mississippi. Andy Gipson, the commissioner of Agriculture in MS (appointed after Cindy Hyde Smith won the open Senate seat). His dad just opened fire and a deputy shot and killed him.

Sort of. He was appointed when Bryant appointed her to fill Cochran's seat and then she won a full term. He is a Baptist preacher, attorney and was Chairman of Jud B in the Senate (Ms). Don't know anything about his dad but Andy lives around Braxton somewhere.

Man. Sounds like the dad had dementia and fired a gun at a deputy trying to help him. Deputy had no choice.
