singled out. He has always been an above average OC with any QB other than Jefferson. Even with the Lee pick six freshman year we still moved the ball that year. We see how good this offense can be with a QB playing like Lee this year or the Flynn year. Not saying he is a Sean Payton, but I don't think any OC would have lit it up with our QB play.

Some of the blame is unjustly thrust upon him.

I think people have severely underestimated how big of a blow losing Ryan Perrilloux was. Most people act like that should have only been a factor in 2008, but the truth is, it set us back 3-4 years in many different ways.

The way I see it, the only thing that has really changed from 2007 to now is the talent level. Other than the fact that we dramatically improved our coaching staff in that time span.

Playcalling is questionable. See Lee's interception last week, decision to try to go 3 wide w/ no timeouts, running JJ on the same play for 2, etc.

Most people think he's had unfettered control over the offense, which is uncertain. I think also, it's because of the slow development of the QBs since he has been here. As frustrated as everyone was with Jimbo's offense at times, he developed a lot of very good QBs at LSU.

Because the entire offense was disorganized. Unless you're buying into the crazy theories that Miles was micromanaging every little detailed aspect of the offense in 2009, Crowton screwed up majorly.

His problems with the game clock continue to this very day.

that was a great play...first time we ever ran it, well designed. the defense made a good play and Lee made a bad decision to throw it.

Extremely risky play call against a UT team that we were running all over

i agree, in a vacuum.

but not a good time to run it. that's my main frustration with him. seems to lack of sense of when to call certain plays.

Not buying the developing the QB thing. He has ONE player that resembles a QB since he has been here. That one player sucked no worse as a freshman than Jemarcus Russell did as freshman. The only difference was Jemarcus had a defense behind him that year. Remember how many points JeMarcus gave UF in 04? I see big improvment from 08 to now. Jimbo scored three points against AU with the first overall pick in the draft at Qb, Two first round Wr, Doucet, and a good line.
